5 style lessons to live by
From trench coats to slip skirts, cashmere knits to classic blazers, there are plenty of classic pieces that play a role in a stylish yet sustainable wardrobe. And knowing how to elevate these pieces with our signature belt is key when it comes to changing up your looks. In her latest video, New York-based stylist Allison Bronstein takes us through her five style lessons for elevating the everyday with Clinch.
1. Elevate the basics
When it comes to creating a chic, go-to every day look, you canβt go past a good pair of jeans, a classic blazer and a pure cotton tee. But you can take it to the next level by adding our signature brass buckle belt in a variety of colour ways, to give your outfit a more polished and structural look.
2. Try the tuck
A quick stroll through the streets of Milan and Paris and youβll see the eponymous tuck worn by fashion editors, influencers and bloggers alike. Simply tucking a tee, an oversized shirt or a knit adds a point of interest and pairs seamlessly with our signature belt.
3. Break up Monochrome
Thereβs nothing quite as fresh as an all-white or all-black monochromatic look. But if youβre looking to add some variety, a contrasting belt provides a nice focal point. Layering styling elements helps to elevate and break up an outfit, helping the overall look feel styled and intentional.
4. Add structure to softness
Simply pair a silk slip skirt with a softΒ cashmere sweater and add a belt which gives structure and hardware, bridging the gap between the two softer styling pieces. Finish the look by tucking the jumper behind the belt.
5. Belt your coat
Adding a belt over a trench or a wool coat adds structure, while the hardware helps to elevate the overall look. The added bonus? Enhancing the waist and adding shape to oversized outerwear.
